West Hollywood MLK Day of Service - West Hollywood Elementary School

The City of West Hollywood will continue its tradition of joining hundreds of communities across the country in a National Day of Service to commemorate the Martin Luther King, Jr. Day federal holiday by hosting a volunteer event to beautify West Hollywood Elementary School. The 2026 West Hollywood Martin Luther King, Jr. Day of Service event will take place on Saturday, January 31, from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. at West Hollywood Elementary School, located at 970 N. Hammond Street. Volunteers are needed to help perform various landscaping, clean-up, and other beautifying tasks at the school. All tasks involve physical labor and volunteers are expected to be available to work a four-hour shift. Volunteers must be at least 13 years of age to take part and participants will receive a commemorative t-shirt and lunch. Space is limited and advanced registration is required to volunteer. Volunteer Notes
There are two (2) Liability Waivers. One is automatically sent by the system. The second waiver - LAUSD Liability Waiver is downloadable under documents section at the top of the page. Adult volunteers can sign in person at the day of service. Volunteers under 18 years of age must provide a waiver signed by their guardian in order to participate.
